I'm thrilled to have my friend Ashley DeLuca share with us today! She left her 9 to 5 earlier in the year to pursue her own entrepreneurship journey by starting her own digital marketing business. Her mission is to utilize her story and passion for digital marketing to inspire entrepreneurs to rise into their fullest potential online through digital marketing. Check out Ashley's website at http://www.ashleykdeluca.com to read more about her business and get to know her! I want you to pause for a second. (I know, I know...it’s hard to do during the holiday season.) Think about that one thing you’ve been dying to do but haven’t (yet) because someone told you that you were “reaching too high in the sky”. Maybe they just flat out told you, “you are crazy for thinking that is possible.” I left my 9-5 job in early 2018 during my pregnancy with all intentions of building a successful business. Many of my co-workers thought I was crazy. They wondered if I would make it and if my business would thrive. “Doing the thing” doesn’t mean it’s going to be easy. Here are three action steps I took to help me make the shift from my 9-5 to owning my own business! 1. Make an action plan. Without an action plan, there was no way I could’ve made the leap. Having a plan helped me emotionally as I revisited it periodically to make sure I was on track. When you outline your plan, you need to make sure you outline all the steps from point a to point z. Make sure you give yourself the right milestones to get you there. Having a good plan is your first step to make your dreams a reality. 2. Get your mindset in check. Start your day off with your 3 goals and 3 things you are thankful for. This is a great way to start the day with intention, focus and gratitude! 3. Don't lose sight of your focus. A few ways I continue to keep my focus in check is by creating a vision board and journaling about my experience and what I’m facing in this season. Here are some good examples from Pinterest of how to create a vision board! Prayer for the entrepreneur: Jesus, as I take the next logical step of obedience in my calling, I pray You'd give me your mind and Your wisdom to make the right decisions and move forward in your timing. Help me trust You in seasons of waiting or drought, knowing that You're in control. In Your name, Amen
